Academic Programs

St. Joseph Catholic School is committed to providing students with a rigorous academic curriculum where they are challenged. Students receive an excellent education that prepares them for high school and beyond while strengthening their faith in God. Our enrichment programs add to their educational and developmental growth by:

  • Offering subjects like music, drama, art, physical education, and technology

  • Incorporating Catholic social teachings into all subject areas

  • Using technology as a tool to enhance learning

  • Reach children of every learning style with individualized teaching techniques

  • Promoting student-centered learning to stimulate critical thinking and problem solving

Fueling the passion for learning and discovery.

Enrichment

This program meets the needs of students who are high achievers and/or identified as gifted. The goal of the program is to provide these students with opportunities to develop divergent thinking skills, and knowledge beyond the standard curriculum. The enrichment program is offered to students in grades three through eight, who have demonstrated above-average abilities, opportunities to work with other students at their same ability level and explore topics in depth of interest to them. The criteria for inviting students to participate in the enrichment programs were developed by the administration with input from the Weiss School for Gifted Students and Brevard County. The criteria are based on standardized test scores, report card grades, checklists, and teacher recommendations.
