Mrs. Mardiat

Mrs. Susan Mardiat – B.S .University of Georgia

Susan Mardiat (Fifth through Eighth grade Science, Sixth Grade Homeroom), University of Georgia, A.B.; Brevard Community College, A.D. Mrs. Mardiat is married and has two children who attended Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade at SJCS. Mrs. Mardiat began volunteering in the classroom in 1998 and became a teacher’s assistant in 2001. She has been a classroom teacher here since 2005. She is the Recycling Club advisor and is a moderator for National Junior Honor Society. In her spare time, Mrs. Mardiat volunteers for Harmony Farms, an organization that provides equine assisted therapy and activities for disabled children and adults. She loves Saint Joseph Catholic School because of the sense of home and community it provides for students.

Mrs. Kwoka

Grade 7 HR, Language Arts – Grades 6 & 7, Social Studies – Grade 6

Mrs. Kathy Kwoka – B.S. Purdue University

Kathy Kwoka (Seventh Grade Homeroom, Sixth and Seventh Grade Language Arts and Sixth Grade Social Studies), Purdue University, B.S. Mrs. Kwoka is married and has one son and two daughters, who are all alumni of Saint Joseph Catholic School and Melbourne Central Catholic High School. She loves to travel, read and/or float during the holidays and has just become a grandparent for the first time. She has taught at SJCS since 1984 and is a moderator for Student Council. Mrs. Kwoka loves Saint Joseph Catholic School because it has become an extended family for her – she loves all the children and their families.

Ms. Horn

Grade 8 HR, Language Arts – Grade 8, Social Studies Grades – 7 & 8

Ms. Susan Horn – M.Ed. St. Joseph College

Susan Horn (Eighth Grade Homeroom, Eighth Grade Literature and Social Studies Teacher, Seventh Grade Social Studies Teacher), Rollins College, B.S., St. Joseph College, Maine M. Ed. Ms. Horn has an adult daughter and son who are graduates of Saint Joseph Catholic School, Melbourne Central Catholic High School, and Florida State University. In her free time, Ms. Horn enjoys a good book while at the beach. As a Saint Joseph Catholic School (’72) and Melbourne Central Catholic (’76) alumna, she has been teaching at SJCS since 1983. She is a moderator for National Junior Honor Society. Ms. Horn’s love for teaching began in elementary school with the examples of the SJCS Sisters of Mercy who educated and inspired her.

Mr. Pagoria

Grade 7 HR, Math – Grades 6-8

Michael Pagoria – Ed.S. University of Central Florida

Michael Pagoria (Seventh Grade Homeroom, Middle School Mathematics). University of Central Florida, M.A. & Ed.S,; Washington University M.B.A. & B.S.; and MacMurray College B.S. Mr. Pagoria has been married for 31 years and has two adult children. His oldest son graduated from Melbourne Central Catholic High School. In his free time, Mr. Pagoria reads extensively, loves to work in his yard, travel, and work on his website and computers. Mr. Pagoria began his teaching career in 2002 after spending 22 years in the semiconductor industry. Mr. Pagoria is the adviser for the Academic Bowl at Saint Joseph Catholic School. He loves working at Saint Joseph Catholic School and wishes he would have been smart enough to send his children to SJCS.
